About Us

Aspire is a community leader in the field of developmental disabilities and offers comprehensive primary care, as well as highly specialized health services to adults with disabilities. Medical management of acute and chronic illnesses is provided in addition to routine preventative care and women’s health services.

Primary Medical Care
The medical team provides and coordinates care. Aspire’s medical team consists of internal medicine providers, psychiatrists, neurologists, and a podiatrist. Medical staff members are experts in their respective fields and work together as a team to provide top-of-the-line, quality care. Continuity of care is assured by a 24-hour on-call service. Comprehensive coordination of care with outside leading physicians and specialists is available when needed. Highly individualized care is provided to meet the multiple and unique needs of adults with disabilities.

Mental Health
Our mental health clinicians have expertise in the treatment of mental health conditions common in people with developmental disabilities and other disabling conditions. Our assessment and treatment services are designed to help people cope with, or overcome, life's traumas and emotional or other mental health challenges. Our goal is to help patients strive toward their highest level of capabilities.

A podiatrist is on staff to deal with problems of the feet


Evaluations are performed to ascertain the best functional ability of the individual using physical therapy, adaptive equipment and orthotics (bracing). Services are also available in the Southern Tier

Feeding and Swallowing

Staff will evaluate, treat and provide instruction for safety and independence in feeding

Assistive Technology

A multi-disciplinary team assesses an individual's needs to increase independent functioning through computer access

Augmentative Communication

Evaluation and training are offered in the use of assistive communication aids and devices for those who are difficult to understand or who have lost the ability to speak

Seating and Mobility
Evaluation of an individual's need for and fitting of a manual or power wheelchair and/or other mobility device, such as a walker

Women's Health

An experienced provider is on staff to offer routine women's gynecological care
